Come watch live the third edition of the Eiffel Tower Vertical ®, a climbing race against the clock, on the Eiffel Tower’s esplanade on March 16th.
128 riders will take part in this exceptional race organized by the EcoTrail of Paris and the Eiffel Tower Operating Company (SETE). 19 nationalities will be represented in the men's and women's events. The goal is to climb the 1665 steps of the Tower in a minimum time period. Champions of the discipline and winners of the two previous editions, Piotr Lobodzinski (POL) and Suzy Walsham (AUS) will try to beat their personal records. In 2016, the Polish had reached the summit in 7'48''77! As for the Australian, she registered the women’s record in the first edition (2015): 9'44''77.
But they will have to remain vigilant if they do not want to be dethroned by over-motivated competitors who might think that everything is possible! Remember that, unlike other events of the same kind, the Eiffel Tower Vertical ® is the only open-air staircase race which offers exceptional sensations!
The event, broadcasted live on Eurosport 2, is open to the public. We count on you to reserve the warmest of welcomes to these athletes who are ready to rise to the challenge! Hoping to see you all on March 16th from 8pm!
