Groups: Information and purchase methods

The Professionals Department can assist you in preparing your visits to the Eiffel Tower.

Access to the monument via the stairs does not require a prior booking (rates for the stairs entrance ticket). Tickets are issued directly at the monument’s counters, for immediate use.

What is a group?

  • A purchase made within the framework of a school trip with supporting documentation including at least 10 young scholars assembling at the same time, on the same floor, by lift.

How do you book and purchase tickets for the Eiffel Tower in advance?


  • The Tourism Professionals counter is open 7 days a week from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM. On presentation of your Professional Card or a certificate of the school Headmaster, you can make your purchases there by choosing your time of visit (depending on availability) and pay via cheque or credit card (VISA, EUROCARD, MASTERCARD).

  • The online sales interface is accessible 24 hours a day. Payment is made by credit card (specific terms and conditions apply to school establishments).

  • In case of a lack of availability on our online ticketing website, you can, on the day of your visit and on presentation of your Professional Card, ask the Tourism Professionals counter about availabilities offered in last minute booking.

How do you book and purchase your Eiffel Tower tickets online?

  1. The Eiffel Tower ticketing websiteSTEP 1:

    1. Choose
      • - Your type of organisation (company, works council, school establishment, tourism professional, association).
      • - The type of product(ticket for entry to lift, ticket for entry to lift going to the top)
      • - The date of your visit(the online sale of tickets for the same day is closed in the morning, the date offered is therefore the following day)
      • - The number of tickets required per category (school group, additional adult). Tickets for the accompanying member are generated automatically based on the number of requested tickets.

    2. Choose your time
      • - The available times appear in green.
      • - When certain periods are fully booked, the message "no availability for the requested date" appears.

    3. Check your order
      • - If the summary conforms to your request, complete it.
      • - If the number exceeds your request, return to the homepage and empty your basket before starting a new selection.
      • - If the date or time does not conform to your request, click on "all dates" to get to the previous page.
      • - If you wish to make a second purchase at the same time,, click on "add to basket".

  2. STEP 2:

    1. Fill in your organisation’s details.If your organisation has already been referenced, you just have to select it from the list that appears.

    2. Select the means for collecting your order.
      • - Electronic tickets may be printed by yourself on a A4 paper (1 ticket per page) with a fully visible barcode.
      • - Tickets may be collected on site from the Tourism Professionals counter.

  3. STEP 3:

    1. Make payment after having checked your basket and the purchase summary detailed on the page. Every purchase is considered confirmed and finalised. No cancellation or modification may be made following payment confirmation.

    2. If you wish to change your purchase, click on "return to homepage" and empty your basket before starting with a new purchase.
      Once you have completed your purchase:
    1. You will receive purchase confirmation via email.

    2. Your payment receipt will be accessible in your client account.

How does the reception of your visitors ?

  • If you has been issued with electronic tickets:
    The visitors issued with tickets arrives at the visitors reception area located in front of the pillar at the time indicated on the ticket (at the latest) with tickets printed on A4 papers (1 ticket per page) with a fully visible barcode. Access is granted according to the order of arrival of the visitors in possession of a ticket for the current time period.

  • If you opted for ticket issuing on site:
    The accompanying person must arrive, armed with the purchase confirmation email, at the Tourism Professionals counter at least one hour before the visiting time.

  • If you has not purchased tickets in advance:
    The accompanying person may go to the Tourism Professionals counter to purchase last minute tickets according to the availability of remaining tickets for sale.

How do I manage my account?

With your first purchase, you will have automatically created a client account accessible by using your mobile telephone number and a password that you have chosen.

Then, for your next purchases, you can identify yourself before starting your purchase.

You can also view your previous transactions for the past 3 months, as well as your upcoming visits.

You can print your payment confirmations and tickets if required.

If you print several copies of a ticket, we inform you that once scanned at the entrance to the Eiffel Tower, no other copy of this ticket will be accepted at the check point.

Payment terms and conditions

School establishments benefit from specific payment terms and conditions

Payment may be made by cheque if the booking is made at least 15 days prior to the visit. If you have chosen to make payment by sending a cheque or making payment at a bank teller, confirmation of the order is sent to you by mail. Payment must be received by the Eiffel Tower’s operating company ("Société d’Exploitation de la tour Eiffel") at the latest 8 days following placement of the booking. In the case of payment by cheque, the tickets will not be sent to you, you will only be able to collect them on site.

supporting documentation is required to confirm the status of the school group. It could be an attestation from the Head of the school establishment or a Youth and Sport authorisation number.
