On September 30, 2025, the Eiffel Tower will be lit up in pink, as it has been every year since 2014. The pink illumination will last all evening on September 30, replacing the usual golden lighting, from 8pm until midnight. It will be visible from the Trocadero place and from the champ de mars esplanade. There will still be the sparkles, a favorite feature of the Parisian sky, during the first five minutes of every hour. A color that suits the Iron Lady perfectly!
With the City of Paris’ active support, the launch of “Pink October”, the major breast cancer information and awareness campaign, takes place in Paris on the beginning of October with certain buildings lit up in pink.
Launch of awareness month
On October, 1, the Pink Ribbon Foundation inaugurates its awareness campaign organized all throughout October, each year with a different theme and powerful message.
The yearly “Pink October” campaign offers an opportunity to shine a light on the fight against breast cancer for an entire month: information, prevention, early screening, etc. Many initiatives and events across France are offered to women, thanks to the many actors mobilized. It is also a time to showcase the efforts of doctors and researchers, as well as all those committed to the fight against breast cancer. The “Pink Ribbon” awards reward and support initiatives and innovations in all areas.
With 60,000 new cases per year in France, breast cancer remains the number one cancer for women and the deadliest. When detected at an early stage, 9 in 10 women recover within 5 years, hence the huge importance of prevention.
