The City of Paris has announced that the fireworks display, traditionally held at the Eiffel Tower, will exceptionally be moved up to the evening of July 13, 2026, instead of July 14.
“Emmanuel Grégoire, Mayor of Paris, in agreement with the President of the Republic, has decided to move the traditional Bastille Day fireworks display, launched from the Champ-de-Mars, to the evening of July 13,” states the Paris.fr website, in order to allow for a moment of reflection and tributes on July 14 to mark the 10th anniversary of the attack in the city of Nice.
Consequently, in order to prepare for the fireworks and drone show, the Eiffel Tower will be closed to the public on July 13, 2026, instead of July 14, as initially announced. And on July 14, it will be open to the public.
Visitors who had already booked tickets for July 13, 2026, are being contacted by email by the Eiffel Tower’s customer service and will have their tickets automatically canceled and refunded. Tickets for July 14, 2026, will go on sale at a later date.
The fireworks display on July 13, 2026, will be visible, as it is every year, from the Trocadéro and the Champ de Mars. It will be broadcast live on French TV and Web (France Television channel)
