Opening of the Eiffel Tower’s online ticket office
Tuesday 16 June 2020
Modified the 17/06/20
Our online ticket office for individuals is opening on June, 18th, for visits from June 25th (opening date) until July 31st. From June 25th to June 30th visits by the stairs only, then from July 1st visits will also be possible by lift. From this date, opening hours will be extended to the evening.
We highly recommend our visitors to book online their tickets in advance in order to avoid the wait at the ticket office on the spot and to enjoy the best visiting experience.
The ticket office for professionals and teachers will also open on June 18th, 2020, for visits from July 1st.
Strict health measures
Our priority is the health of our visitors and our staff: some measures and precautions have been taken to protect everyone, such as the compulsory wearing of a face mask for all visitors (from 11 years old) ; a limited number of visitors on the esplanade, on each floor and in the lifts ; a significant signage and ground markings to implement physical distancing (1.5 meter) ; daily cleaning and disinfection of public spaces at the Tower.
Special attention is paid to the flow of visitors. From June 25th until June 30th, only visits by the stairs will be available (second floor stairs tickets including the visit of the first floor). Visitors will go up from the East pillar stairs access and down by the West pillar stairs access, so that they don’t cross each other.
At the Eiffel Tower, entrances and exits are also differentiated:
- Entrances 1 by the South pillar and 2 by the East pillar
- Exits 1 by the North pillar and 2 by the West pillar
From July 1st, lifts will start operating progressively to take visitors (with a very limited number of persons on-board) up to the second floor. The top floor will open later during the summer, depending on how the situation evolves.
Special family offer
Let your children (re)discover the Eiffel Tower! This summer, for visits between July 1st and August 31st, a 50% reduction automatically applies on tickets for children (aged 4-11).
- €1.30 for second floor stairs tickets (instead of €2.60)
- €2 for second floor lift tickets (instead of €4.10)
- When the top re-opens: €3.20 for top floor lift tickets (instead of €6.50)
As it is already the use at the Eiffel Tower, tickets for children under the age of 4 are free.
