The Eiffel Tower’s Wildest Experiences

Ziplines, ice skating, suspension bridges... The Eiffel Tower regularly hosts thrilling attractions!

The Eiffel Tower regularly hosts thrilling, one-of-a-kind experiences! Earlier this year, visitors had the chance to test a suspension bridge 60 meters above the ground—and they still can’t stop talking about it. Thanks to its height and iconic structure, the Eiffel Tower is the perfect stage for unforgettable, adrenaline-pumping activities. Here are some of the most sensational attractions that have been installed on the Tower for the public to enjoy.

2025 – “Le Vertige de la Tour” (The Vertigo of the Tower) on the 1st Floor

A first of its kind: a net suspension bridge dangling over the Eiffel Tower’s esplanade! This limited-time attraction was a massive hit. Nearly 24,000 visitors—young and old—dared to cross France’s highest urban bridge: a 40-meter-long net walkway, suspended 60 meters above the ground on the 1st floor. It was all about mixing thrills with fun, and doing it safely. Would you like to see the net bridge make a comeback?

2004, 2017, and 2019 – Ziplining Over the Champ de Mars

This attraction was always a rare treat, especially as part of promotional events by Perrier during the Roland-Garros tennis tournament. In 2019, contest winners launched from the 2nd floor, 115 meters up, zooming over 800 meters above the Champ de Mars at nearly 100 km/h. The ride ended in a dramatic “lion’s mouth” art installation in front of the École Militaire!

1969–2017 – The Legendary 1st Floor Ice Rink

This winter attraction, set up for the holiday season, consisted of installing a large ice rink in place of the large terrace on the first floor. It was installed regularly and offered to visitors, becoming a must-see at the beginning of winter for visitors to the Eiffel Tower.  Located 57 meters above the ground, it was the highest ice rink in the Paris region!

2007 – A Dive Pool for Underwater Exploration on the Esplanade

In 2007, to raise awareness about ocean conservation, the Eiffel Tower offered free scuba diving lessons in a heated pool. With 40 certified instructors from the FFESSM (French Federation of Underwater Studies and Sports), participants spent about 20 minutes underwater and earned a baptism certificate. A fun, unique way to discover diving at the foot of the Eiffel Tower!

2017 – Mini-Golf on the 1st Floor

In the lead-up to the 2018 edition of the Ryder Cup, a 6-hole mini-golf course was installed 57 meters up, in partnership with the French Golf Federation. For ten days, visitors could try their hand at golf with guidance from a pro—all with a breathtaking view!

2024 – The Summit Apartment (April Fools’!)

The Eiffel Tower announced a hotel room in Gustave Eiffel’s former apartment, 276 meters up, complete with a gourmet seafood dinner. Too good to be true? It was an April Fools’ joke! But if you could, would you dream of spending a night at the very top?
