Through 20 chronological panels, discover the craziest feats accomplished by athletes, artists and thrill-seekers. From the most unusual to the most dizzying, admire archival images and modern shots that will transport you to the fascinating world of the Eiffel Tower.
Highlights of the exhibition include:
- The spectacular acrobatics of trapeze artist Rose Gold in 1951
- A 41-foot jump from more than 131 feet off the ground onto a ramp installed directly below the Eiffel Tower, by three-time world rollerblading champion Thaïg Khris in 2010
- Highliner Nathan Paulin crossing the inner structure of the Eiffel Tower on a one-inch-wide line
You will also find QR codes to watch videos of certain sporting performances on your smartphone!
In connection with the exhibition, an educational booklet is available for children. Games, illustrations, and fun facts will give youngsters all they need to know about the sporting events that have marked the history of the Eiffel Tower. It is available in the waiting area for the elevators in the pillars and in the Ferrié Pavilion on the first floor.
