To purchase your Eiffel Tower ticket safely, bear these guidelines in mind.
There is only one official Eiffel Tower website, on which SETE alone is authorized to sell tickets: ticket.toureiffel.paris. The choice of tickets available are elevator tickets alone (with no additional service), or tickets with additional services (guided tour, champagne, restaurant). Tickets for the Eiffel Tower’s restaurants (without visiting the Eiffel Tower) are available at the official Eiffel Tower restaurants website.
Check the website address (URL) carefully before making your purchase. The only official website is ticket.toureiffel.paris.
Eiffel Tower tickets sell out very quickly as demand is very high. Tickets are available for online purchase 60 days in advance. Tickets become available again online at regular intervals. If you can no longer find any availability online, on our official website, you can still purchase your tickets on the day of your visit at the monument’s ticket office, for an immediate visit, at the public rate.
Where else can tickets be purchased apart from on the official website?
There are a certain number of resellers from which tickets (by elevator only) combined with an additional service (such as a guided tour) can be purchased, whether on their website or on marketplaces. In this case, the prices include the public service rate plus the price of the additional service. As such, they are higher than the price on our official website. However, the surge in fake websites and adverts, or misleading adverts, calls for the utmost vigilance.
To make sure the website is legitimate, we advise you to check the following points:
- The legal notices and Terms & Conditions of Sale: all websites are required to present legal notices, wherever it may be hosted or located geographically. This information can generally be found at the bottom of the page. For any commercial activity (including selling tickets), a business registration number (RCS or RNE in France), or, where applicable, an intracommunity VAT number, must be indicated.
- On the website, do there seem to be visits available every day, every hour, over several months? This simply isn't possible. Particularly for very popular periods.
- If the website mentions ‘skip the line’ (‘coupe-file’), or priority access (whether in the product adverts or Google adverts): this is a false promise. The Eiffel Tower does not operate any skip-the-line system. Our resellers are only permitted to use the term ‘reserved access’ (‘accès réservé’).
- Does the website claim to be an ‘official partner website’, ‘authorized website’ or ‘trusted partner’ or to have any other similar certification? This simply isn't possible. We do not award any certifications of this type.
- Is the price too high … or, on the contrary, ‘rock-bottom’? Beware. The prices of Eiffel Tower tickets are fixed public rates. They are available on the official website ticket.toureiffel.paris. Prices below this rate are therefore impossible. For very high prices: check that the additional service combined with the elevator ticket is consistent with the price indicated. If you read claims such as "Best price" or "Best price guaranteed", they are misleading. Inflated prices are frequently observed: beware.
- Are tickets available just for the elevator, with no additional service attached? This simply isn't possible. Only the official website, ticket.toureiffel.paris, is authorized to sell solely elevator tickets.
- Is the advert unclear? Check that the service advertised is clearly described in detail. Which floor is indicated? What ascent means are indicated? Does the ticket need to be purchased at the ticket office? Is access to the top included? Or subject to availability on-site? Is the additional service just ‘accompaniment’? An ‘audioguide’? A guide? What language is the visit in? Is it a group visit? For how many people? Etc.
- Check the name of the company providing the additional service. It must be visible. Find out about this company, especially through their website. That way you’ll be able to make sure the company is properly registered. (See the legal notices, point 1.)
- Read the comments and reviews left by previous users: are they happy? Did the service provided match the description advertised? CAUTION: whilst comments warning of a scam should be taken seriously, gushing comments do not alone guarantee the quality of the service (also check all the other points).
On a final note, remember that you can always purchase your ticket for the Eiffel Tower on-site, at the public rate, for an immediate visit.
