The best prices are guaranteed on the official Eiffel Tower website. Tickets can still be purchased on site for an immediate visit.
To avoid waiting in line, buy your tickets in advance on our online ticket office, especially if you want to go to the top. You will have the best price for tickets for the top or the second floor. And with time-stamped e-tickets, you will save time on site !
Book your tickets for the Eiffel Tower in advance
You can book your e-tickets with elevator access up to 60 days in advance and up to 40 days in advance for e-tickets with stair access. We strongly recommend that you book as early as possible for the months of June to September, as well as school holidays and public holidays, as the Eiffel Tower receives the most visitors during these periods.
Buying tickets on site
For last-minute visits, our online ticket office offers e-tickets for visits that same day, and if you are on site, in the next 30 minutes (if available). If you can’t find tickets online, you can still purchase tickets at the monument’s on-site ticket offices for an immediate visit.

Don’t forget your ID
Each e-ticket is personal. Don’t forget to bring a piece of ID for each member of your group, including children. -
Remember to bring your certificates and proof for reduced-rate tickets.
Any form of documentary proof for reduced-rate tickets (age, disability, RSA recipient, etc.) may be requested. -
Respect the time indicated on your ticket
Make sure you check the time on your e-ticket. This is the time at which you must be beneath the Tower, in the queue for “Visitors with tickets”. Allow 15 to 20 minutes to go through the security checks at the entrance before arriving on the esplanade beneath the Eiffel Tower.
You will see the green kiosk 🟢 for elevator access and blue kiosks 🔵 for stair access. -
Download your e-ticket on your smartphone or print it out.
Make sure that your e-ticket (and the QR Code) is legible in its entirety. Any modified or incomplete ticket is invalid. To show your e-ticket on your mobile phone, present it in PDF format and increase the screen brightness to the maximum (use of Wallet apps not authorized).
How to get to the Eiffel Tower ?
The Eiffel Tower is accessible via a number of metro and RER lines. The following stations serve the Eiffel Tower:
Trocadéro Station (metro line 9) – 22 mins on foot
Bir-Hakeim Station (metro line 6) – 11 mins on foot
École Militaire Station (metro line 8) – 16 mins on foot
Champ de Mars – Tour Eiffel (RER C) – 5 mins on foot
The Eiffel Tower is accessible via a number of bus lines. The stops that serve the Eiffel Tower are all located within 10 minutes’ walk from the monument: lines 82, 30, 42, 69 and 86.
You can rent a free-access bike at a Vélib’ station 24/7. It’s a lovely way to get to the Eiffel Tower while riding through the streets of Paris !

If you want to come to the Eiffel Tower by car, we recommend parking in one of the covered parking lots nearest to the monument, such as the Quai Branly-Tour Eiffel parking lot located less than 0.2 miles from the Tower !

Exploring the Eiffel Tower
How to enter the site of the Eiffel Tower ?
There are 2 main entries to access the Eiffel Tower: entries 1 (SOUTH) and 2 (EAST). At each entry, there are specific queues for ticketed and non-ticketed visitors. An initial security check is carried out at this entry (allow 10-20 minutes). There is no charge to access the gardens and esplanade beneath the Eiffel Tower.
Finding your way around the Eiffel Tower esplanade
Once you've cleared the security checks at entry 1 or 2, you will finally enter the Eiffel Tower site. And the magic begins! Before reaching the esplanade beneath the Tower, you'll walk through the magnificent “Belle Epoque” gardens, accessible free of charge. Information panels and reception teams on site will guide you to the right queue. You'll find entries for elevator and stair access, queues for visitors with e-tickets, and ticket offices for visitors wishing to buy their tickets. Visitors with e-tickets and those who have purchased tickets at the ticket office meet at the pillar entry (elevator or staircase) for a security check before going up.
Getting help on the esplanade
The Eiffel Tower esplanade is the starting point for your visit. Do you have a question or problem concerning your visit ? Our reception teams are there to help and guide you. Find information and assistance at the West Pillar Information Desk. We invite our disabled visitors and those accompanying them to make themselves known to our reception teams as soon as they arrive on the esplanade.
Itinerary of the visit
What is the itinerary of the visit of the Eiffel Tower?
You begin your visit on the highest floor (top or second floor), then continue down to the lower levels.
If you've opted for an elevator-access ticket to the top, you'll ascend from the ground to the second floor with the first elevator, then change elevators to get to the top. With a combination stair-elevator ticket to the top, you'll take the stairs to the second floor and the elevator from the second floor to the top.
If you have opted for a second floor elevator-access ticket, you will go directly up to the second floor. Take advantage of the stairs and visit the first floor on the way down. If you have opted for a second-floor stair-access ticket, you are free to choose the order in which you wish to visit each floor. Please note that there is no complementary ticket for access to the top if you have purchased a second-floor ticket.

The Eiffel Tower has reduced rates for the following people:
Disabled people (on presentation of a Disabled Person Identification Card)
Young people between 12 and 24 (proof such as an identity card or a student card may be requested)
Children from 4 to 11 (proof such as an identity card may be requested)
Children under 4 are the guests of the Eiffel Tower (proof such as an identity card may be requested). A free access ticket will be issued.
There are some busy periods during the year, when our online time-stamped tickets (mostly elevator tickets to the top floor or to the second floor) get quickly sold out (please note that they are available on a D-60 basis). If there are no more online (elevator) tickets available on the selected date on our online ticket office, you can purchase tickets from the ticket office at the Eiffel tower itself at the individual rate, on the day of your visit, for immediate use (always depending on the attendance).
Another option, if you are flexible about your visiting dates, try consulting the online calendar to find another available date. The sooner you can book (up to 2 months in advance), the better.
Or you can try the stairs! Discover the Eiffel Tower in another way and it's not that long or difficult (about 15 to 20 minutes per level). You can always book online, in last minute, some stairs tickets to visit the Eiffel Tower up to the second floor (please note that the stairs access can close at 6pm on certain periods.
Of course you can visit the Eiffel tower if you have a medical device like any other visitor. However, in order to go through the security controls without any problems we advise you to inform the our security agents about your device and to present the official medical document to substantiate this.
