Helpful tip: we present the levels of the Tower from the ground to the top. However, please note that to visit the Eiffel Tower, you will always begin with ascending to the highest level of your ticket, i.e. the top or the 2nd floor.
Eiffel Tower Esplanade : Entrance & Tickets
As you arrive at the Eiffel Tower from the main entrances you’ll first discover the Esplanade, this large and most impressive place under the Eiffel Tower. You will begin your ascent from one of the pillars. The West, East, and North Pillars are reserved for elevator access: follow the signs on site to find out which pillar is open on the day of your visit. If you are climbing the stairs, you will most likely go to the South pillar.
If you have a problem or simply need information, an information desk (Point Information) is available to answer all your questions at the West pillar.
You can buy Eiffel Tower tickets at the ticket offices on the Esplanade, with no need to book online. However, to save some waiting time, we suggest booking tickets online in advance at the official online ticket office.
Once you have your tickets, you can take the elevator or the stairs from the Esplanade to reach the upper floors.
If you’re looking for Eiffel Tower gifts, visit the souvenir shop “The Rendez-Vous,” located near the information desk. If you are looking for more exclusive gifts, visit “The Kiosk” shop near the East pillar.
You will also find a buffet and shops on the esplanade for your shopping needs. Visit the souvenir shop “The Rendez-Vous,” located near the Information Point at the West pillar. If you are looking for more exclusive gifts, visit “The Kiosk” shop at the East pillar.
