Can tickets be purchased at the Eiffel Tower up until closing time or do you have to arrive before?

It is necessary to anticipate your visit at least 2 hours before closing time. To go to the top, the ticket offices close around 1 hour 45 minutes before closing time. The stairs ticket offices can close up to 45 minutes before stairs closing time. However these times may change during peak periods. You are therefore strongly recommended to allow yourself additional time. For greater comfort we suggest that you purchase your ticket online to guarantee access to the lift or stairs (for 2nd floor only) at the time you have chosen, subject to availability.
