Getting to the Eiffel Tower
Discover how to come to the tower
Are you planning a visit to the Eiffel Tower and have questions about how to buy your tickets, our pricing, how to get to the Tower, and what you can do once you get there? In this FAQ we try to answer all of your questions. Enter a key word to search, or choose one of the four different subjects.
The "stairs" tickets to the second floor are available online : sale of such tickets open 30 days in advance. Stairs e-tickets are valid for visits up to the 2nd floor, and like the elevators e-tickets, are time-stamped.
Reminder for second floor ticket holders : there is no additional ticket to the third (top) floor available for purchase at the Tower.
The Eiffel Tower also sells "stairs + elevator" tickets which will allow you to take the stairs until the second floor, then the elevator to the top of the Tower. Such tickets are mainly sold at the ticket offices at the Tower at the individual rate and for use immediately. They can be sold online but in very small quantities. They are a smart and economical way to visit the summit if you haven’t been able to find any “top by elevator” tickets available.
All tickets are sold on-site at the Eiffel Tower ticket counters. The stairs tickets are sold at the dedicated pillar : blue kiosk on the esplanade. The wait at the ticket counters for the stairs is always shorter than the wait at the ticket counters for the elevators.
Please note: there is no luggage storage at the Eiffel Tower.
